We focus on building timeless entertainment brands that inspire connection creativity, and community across generations.

Chanel Shyllon , Executive Vice President, serves as the strategic force behind KanaVision Kids, partnering closely with Karim to bring bold creative vision to life.​​​

​

With over 20 years of experience in production and creative development, Chanel has led as an Executive Producer, Creative Director, Costume Designer, and Merchandising Strategist across micro-budget films and original content spanning short films, faith-based programming, urban storytelling, and reality tv formats. At KVK, she operationalizes creativity — transforming ideas into scalable productions through innovative concepts, production oversight, infrastructure development, and disciplined business strategy.​​​

Beyond entertainment, Chanel brings more than 20 years of leadership experience across the Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries, where she cultivated deep expertise in operations, team development, and execution excellence — strengths she now applies to building sustainable creative platforms.​​

​

Inspired by culturally iconic programming such as Sesame Street, Animaniacs, and The Proud Family, Chanel remains committed to supporting content that reflects diversity, creativity, and empowerment for young audiences through KanaVision Kids.

Michael Hankins, Senior Vice President, brings more than 20 years of experience in the Film and Television industry, combining technical expertise with creative versatility.

​

His professional background includes serving as a Content Operations Coordinator for Turner Broadcasting System, as well as Studio Technician, News Photojournalist, and Commercial Photographer for WNEM-TV, a CBS affiliate in Saginaw, Michigan. Across each role, Michael has developed a sharp eye for storytelling, production quality, and visual impact.

He also serves as President and CEO of Infinite Multimedia LLC, a creative media company specializing in video production, music development, and graphic design — further expanding his footprint across the multimedia landscape.

​

A Mass Communications graduate of Delta College and an alumnus of Georgia Film Academy, Michael blends formal training with real-world production experience to elevate KanaVision Kids’ creative output.

Growing up inspired by shows like The Cosby Show, The Backyardigans, and Rugrats, Michael remains passionate about helping create engaging, culturally resonant content that connects with audiences across generations.

Alex Hawthorne, Creative Director, brings more than 17 years of experience mentoring youth and supporting children with behavioral disabilities throughout the Carolinas.

​

In 2005, Alex founded Jus’ Like Us, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring at-risk youth through the creative arts — providing a powerful outlet for self-expression through music and storytelling. The organization later inspired the co-produced film At Risk, further amplifying its mission and impact. Alex studied Political Science at North Carolina Central University, where he also played varsity football — an experience that shaped his leadership style, discipline, and team-first mindset.

At KanaVision Kids, Alex channels his passion for youth empowerment into culturally resonant storytelling and creative development that connects with young audiences in meaningful ways.

​

Outside of work, he enjoys working out, playing golf, watching the Food Network, and following professional sports. Growing up, he was inspired by classics like Scooby-Doo, Fat Albert, and ThunderCats — shows that continue to influence his appreciation for imagination, humor, and bold storytelling.

Karim Shyllon, President, is the visionary leader behind KanaVision Kids, bringing more than 20 years of experience in executive production, writing, directing, and producing micro-budget films and original content.​

​

As CEO of Kanasieu Films, LLC, Karim has created and managed programming ranging from weekly television shows to faith-based and urban storytelling. He also spent two years as a production assistant at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta, GA, contributing to mainstream television productions and major motion pictures — experience that sharpened his understanding of large-scale production and industry standards.​

​

A graduate of North Carolina Central University, Karim blends creative vision with disciplined execution to build platforms that inspire and empower young audiences. When he’s not developing new ideas for KanaVision Kids, he enjoys working out, supporting his beloved Duke Blue Devils, and catching the latest films in theaters.​

​

Inspired by childhood favorites like Leo the Lion, Superbook, and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Karim remains passionate about creating imaginative, values-driven content that resonates across generations.
